Run re-cap 2015
A perfect am with temps in the high 40’s and over 50 for most of the day as 10K and 1/2 marathon runners set out on an adventure. The course changed significantly from 2014 to capture more of the trails in the system and to allow 2 separate loops for the 10K and 1/2 marathon. What was not expected was the 1/2 marathon course to be sabotaged friday for the first time at Alsea falls with 1 corner lacking any markings that sent runners on an extra 1/2 mile or more before tracking back at mile 6 to head up the ridge to finish the final 6 miles. 20 or so went for an extended tour to the day use area and or farther. My apologies for this and with 80 percent of the runners not having any experience at Alsea Falls, Oregon Trail Runs will be holding a monthly run to get even more acquainted with the area over the Winter and into the Spring as this area expanded and provides more opportunity to Run, Bike or Hike!
This course will be the Same for the upcoming Alsea Falls Spring Fling on 3/19 with a 1/2, 10k, 5K.
Have a great holiday season and see u in March!
Great Job everyone!
Thanks to Glukos for the support!
